OUR PRODUCTS
The JR holding LLP is one of today’s most complex and advanced facilities in Kazakhstan refining sector. With a balanced processing capacity of around 6 million tons per year, it is among the top refineries in Kazakhstan in terms of production capacity. The complex refining system is aimed at the production of fuels used mainly for the transport and the energy sector and raw materials for the petrochemical sector. Its products are owned by shareholders. The JR holding LLP does not own either the incoming raw materials or the outgoing products but only offers a service to its shareholders.
The complex production cycle of the JR holding LLP ensures maximum flexibility in responding to the typical fluctuations of the oil market. The present conversion plants allow for great efficiency in the production processes. The company has always believed in continuous improvement and technological innovation, factors that have allowed it to achieve high environmental performance both in terms of process and final product.
OUR PRODUCTS AND THEIR MAIN USES
In Kazakhstan, our products account for roughly 19% of the country’s use of gasoline and diesel for automobiles. They are employed not only for transportation but also for the production of energy and chemical components.
Gas
Used as fuel for internal combustion engines
Jet fuel
Used as aviation fuel for jet engines.
Naphtha
It is used in the industrial chemistry sector.
Burning oil
Used as fuel in thermoelectric plants.
LPG
Used for domestic, industrial and agricultural use, it is used as fuel for engines, for central heating and for the production of heat for industrial purposes.
Sulphur
Marketed in both liquid and solid form; used in many industrial processes and in agriculture as a fertilizer.
Propylene
It is used in the production of polymers, plastics and other chemical compounds
Diesel
Used to power diesel engines. The specific diesel for ships belongs to the same family
MAINTENANCE AND THE RELIABILITY OF THE INSTALLATIONS
For each group of plants there is a multi-specialist maintenance team that supervises and coordinates the activities, both for routine maintenance and during scheduled maintenance stops.
The JR holding LLP manages maintenance with the most recent technologies, with continuously improving procedures and with a dedicated and highly specialised team.
JR holding LLP has always paid the utmost attention to the reliability of its plants, which is proved by a Reliability Factor of 99%. In line with international best practices, the company has adopted an important Asset Integrity Management System program, aimed at maintaining the highest levels of reliability.
The JR holding LLP is rapidly modifying its Asset Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 55001. This modification has resulted in both procedural and management improvements. AIMS, or Asset Integrity Management Systems, refers to the various tools intended to the optimal management of plants (asset), developed over the years and shared internationally by companies in the oil sector.
PRODUCT LOGISTICS
The JR holding LLP has logistics and storage facilities consisting of two piers located in the port of JR holding LLP and an important number of tanks. These are 116 tanks for a total capacity of 4,000,000 cubic metres, and underground tanks for LPG storage. A periodic checks and maintenance plan is in force for the entire tank and LPG fleet in order to guarantee the reliability of the tanks over time as well as minimize any environmental impact, in accordance with current legislation and the best available technologies. The JR holding LLP plays a very important role in the activity of the port of Kazakhstan, in fact most of the products in transit from the port have their plants as their destination or come from them.
The petroleum products, primarily crude oil, that enter the plant are transported by sea from several nations. Following refinement, the majority of the final products are exported by sea, particularly in Italy, while a minor portion are transported by land in tanker trucks and via the pipeline that links JR Holding LLP to the adjacent Russia Refinery.
